Put April 18, 2024 on your calender now for the Chorale’s spring concert “Kings, Queens, and Gypsies.” This concert is going to be bold, different and exciting. We will sing the Festival Te Deum by Benjamin Britten, Song of Peace by Vincent Persichetti and Dirait-on by Morten Lauridsen. Handel’s Coronation Anthem No. 1, Zadok the Priest will be featured. This was one of the selections used in the coronation ceremony for Queen Elizabeth and again for King Charles. We will change personality completely as we perform Brahms’ Gypsy Songs, Ziegeunerlieder. This is a set of 11 very energetic and fun melodies with an amazing piano accompaniment.
